Mailing list maintenance from 6 to 8 November 2026
From Friday 6 through Sunday 8 November 2026, all2all plans to reinstall mailman.all2all.org on Debian 13 and migrate its mailing lists from Mailman 2 to Mailman 3.
We will back up the lists, subscriptions and archives before the work. After migration, we will check the lists, the sites hosted on this server and message delivery before restoring the service.
New possibilities
Mailman 3 brings a more modern web interface for managing lists and subscriptions, searchable archives through HyperKitty, and an API that makes website integration easier. It also opens the way to using lists for newsletters: a website can collect sign-ups while Mailman distributes messages to an announcement list. Graphic email layouts will be prepared in a separate editing tool.
Expected interruption
Mailing lists hosted on mailman.all2all.org will be unavailable for some or all of these three days. Their administration and archives may also be inaccessible. Sites hosted on the same server may experience interruptions during the reinstall.
Please postpone messages to these lists and subscription changes until outside this period. We will announce when the work is complete after verification.
